The girls transitioned to a big girl bed last night.  It was time but mostly for the reason that Bella got her knee wedged pretty tight in between the bars of her crib and I had difficulty getting her free.  The girls are doing wonderful in their beds, they sleep with no problems and Courtney this afternoon when she woke up from her nap went to her closed door and rattled it and called for me.  Russ was busy the other night making sure that all the furniture was anchored to the walls and that everything was safe.  So far our girls have been doing really well with the change and were even "helping" Russ take apart their cribs.

Weight and Height Updates

On 9/3/11 we went to the pediatrician for the girls 2 yr check up.  Here are the stats:

Courtney weights 28 lbs and is 34 3/4 in tall
Bella weights 26 1/2 lbs and is 34 1/2 in tall

The pediatrician predicts they will be about 5'9" as adults

He was overjoyed with their vocabulary and their 5 word sentences, he says they are way above where they should be developmentally.  I did point out how proud we are that both girls will count to 10 with us and can identify most letters of the alphabet!

Who would thought our daughters were born 2 mos early and so teeny, they are certainly thriving and we couldn't be more blessed!

More September Fun

What a great weekend this was for our family.  The girls turned 2 on September 10th, and we enjoyed lots of fun at the Pratt and Whitney picnic at Wickham Park.  We left there and came home just in time for naps.  Dinner was the girls favorites, pizza and french fries and cakes for both of them.  The girls enjoyed opening up their cards and gifts this day as well.  Sunday was their family and friends party at Connor's Boundless Playground at Field Rd Park in Somers, right down the street from us.  The girls enjoyed desserts and playing with their friends and getting lots of love from their family.  They opened presents at their party and decided about 1/2 way thru that they'd rather go play so they both got up and ran towards the playground!  It was a great weekend and although both the girls favorite word nowadays tends to be "no" everytime I ask if they had fun at their party they say "yes"!

The pediatrician projects that they will be at 5'9" when they grow up and is very happy with their development, where they speak over 200 single words, speak 5 word sentances, know many letters and can count up to 10
